The event offers a unique opportunity to (re)experience the bohemian spirit so characteristic of the neighbourhood. The evening will be punctuated by exceptional artistic performances. Raphaëlle Hubin, who performs Loïe Fuller’s famous serpentine dance, will bring the evening to life with three performances of these dreamlike movements inspired by the early 20th century. Caricaturists will be on hand throughout the evening to capture visitors’ likenesses. The sensory experience will be enhanced by a musical programme: a vinyl bar will provide the soundtrack, spanning the decades from yesterday to today. Alongside these performances, visitors will be able to explore the museum’s permanent collections and the temporary exhibition ‘Adya & Otto van Rees. At the Heart of the Avant-garde’ at their leisure, in an enchanting historic setting. To mark Museum Night, the Musée de Montmartre draws on history to highlight the artistic flourishing that has made the neighbourhood famous. This programme, designed to be both accessible and welcoming, celebrates the driving role of creativity in Montmartre’s culture and invites everyone to rediscover this living heritage.
